Confidentiality Policy

The exchange of personal and confidential information is critical to the Coach-Client relationship. Should the Coach deem it necessary for the child or teen to discuss matters with their parents, they will be encouraged to do so. Keeping parents apprised of the overall coaching progress is a priority. Nevertheless, barring explicit consent, all dialogues, coaching sessions, and written correspondences remain confidential between the Coach and the child or teen, except as required by law. There are three exceptions to this confidentiality:

1. If disclosure is necessary to prevent self-harm or harm to others.

2. If a child or teen requires protection.

3. If legal requirements mandate the release of confidential information.

Any information shared during coaching sessions will not be disclosed to third parties without the express written consent of both the Coach and the child or teen. The child's or teen's identities and the sessions' specifics will remain confidential from any third parties, barring written permission. This confidentiality agreement also extends to the Coach and Adult relationship.
